We at Akula Tech are looking for a Software Engineer with a strong background in computer vision, artificial intelligence, and machine learning, ideally with exposure to satellite imagery and model compression techniques. This role is crucial for the development and enhancement of our advanced flight software, designed for our upcoming satellite missions. Research and innovation are at the heart of this position, requiring the candidate to contribute to the exploration of new methodologies and the improvement of existing systems.



- Bachelor’s or higher degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field. Students    currently    pursuing relevant degrees with substantial coursework/projects in these areas are also encouraged to apply.
- Strong proficiency in C++ and familiarity with object-oriented programming (OOP), as well as best practices in software    development.
- Experience in computer vision, AI/ML model development, and preferably satellite imagery analysis.
- Knowledge of model compression techniques and edge computing is highly advantageous.
- Ability to conduct comprehensive research and stay updated with technological advancements in the field.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Australian citizenship is preferred.
